An Unforgettable Day-Draft One

I had an unforgettable memory. It was in my first year’s athletic meeting that I was assigned to take part in the 200m race. Therefore, before my race, I not only practiced running with my friends but asked the teacher how to perfect my skills. On that day, nevertheless, the weather was very cold. I was very nervous and my heart beat violently. Fortunately, my friends encouraged me and told me to take it easy so I gradually became more confident. When the competition began, I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to catch up with others. As a consequence, I put my best foot forward to complete the game. At last, I reached the finishing line with my firm endurance and all my friends responded with warm applause. Originally I thought I didn’t do a good job. To my surprise, I got a third place. I was too astonished to believe the truth. However, I was satisfied with the result because my effort did pay off. I t was such a wonderful that I would never forget.
